For Wednesday, June 3rd:

Sabrina Carpenter has been granted a temporary restraining order against William Applegate for alleged stalking, after the man made a break-in attempt at her home in the Hollywood Hills. She said, ”His pattern of stalking, trespassing, and surveillance has caused me severe and ongoing emotional distress.”

David Beckham is set to receive an unexpected honour. He will get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Sports Entertainment category. One of the guest speakers at the ceremony next Friday will be long-time friend to the Beckhams, Tom Cruise. The star is the latest in a list of accolades for Beckham, which includes being knighted last year for his services to sport.

Bruno Mars‘ five sold out shows at Rogers Stadium broke attendance records for Toronto with 250,000 tickets sold. The venue says Bruno Mars now holds the attendance record for a single tour stop in the city. Yes, that means he surpassed the approximately 240,000 tickets sold for Taylor Swift’s six shows at Rogers Centre during her 2024 Eras Tour.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zack Snyder, the filmmaker behind ‘300’ and ‘Justice League’, has come aboard to write and direct a reimagining of ‘Escape from New York’, the classic dystopian action movie from John Carpenter that introduced audiences to the cool, eye-patch-wearing, anti-hero Snake Plissken, played by Kurt Russel.

And coming to Netflix today is ‘Michael Jackson: The Verdict.’ With accounts from key players who were inside the courtroom, the documentary dissects the trial of Michael Jackson and his complex legacy.
